Confidential.

Sir,

No.4.

Supreme Court,

May 31st, 1902.

146

With reference to my interview with his

Excellency the Officer Administering the Government this morn-

ing, at which you were present, on the subject of a regrettable

incident between the Acting buisne Judge and myself a few days

back, l have the honour most respectfully to state that 1 abide

entirely by the decision of Sir William Gascoigne, and that as

requested by his Excellency having regard to my subordinate

position to the Fuisne Judge, i beg to express regret that i

should have allowed myself both in manner and in written ex-

pression, a latitude which his Excellency has ruled was unbecom

-ing. Moreover personally, and on my own account, 1 beg now

further deeply to apologise to both His Excellency the Officer

Administering the Government and yourself for the trouble i

may have been the cause of in this matter.

I have etc.,

(Sa.) J. W. Norton Kyshe,

Registrar.

E.S. As I find that His Excellency's decision is addressed

to you and is the original 1 beg to enclose same.

The Honourable

The Colonial Secretary.
